Club 1872 has taunted the Ibrox club over their withdrawal from the Sydney Super Cup.
Last week the fan group triggered an angry series of statements as they issued a brutal attack on Stewart Robertson, James Bisgrove and David Graham in tandem with criticism of the friendly against Selik. That hit a few raw nerves inside the club as they fired back warning of reprisals in the propaganda war.
Dave King and Craig Houston from Sons of Struth were quickly on the case with the Ibrox board under siege over their deal to go to Australia.
Just after 3pm today a 44 word statement announced that the club had pulled out of the Sydney Super Cup but that wasn’t enough for Club 1872 who seem to be communicating in a style associated with a former leading light at the Daily Record.
Club 1872 welcomes Rangers’ decision to pull out of the Sydney Cup.
We hope now that through meaningful engagement with supporters and shareholders, Rangers will find a more suitable way to give overseas supporters an opportunity to see the team playing live in November.
