Comments on Follow Follow summed up the atmosphere of Saturday’s family fun day at Ibrox.

Hard as it is to believe but having a Season Ticket does act as a form of restraint on most fans, reigning in their hatred of most aspects of 21st century life.

Outbreaks of Anti-Catholic singing are kept at manageable levels while other excesses can quickly be blamed on a tiny minority of fans or in extreme cases visiting Chelsea supporters who actually live in Lanarkshire and Ayrshire.

Saturday’s 10th Anniversary match threw open the doors of Ibrox to all sorts, many of them on their first post-Lockdown visit without the minimal threat of having a Season Ticket withdrawn if they step out of line.

There has been no comment from the club or football authorities about Saturday’s pitch invasion or the actions of Paul Gascoigne, the SFA regulated the match, supplying Greg Aitken as referee.
