Dave King has joined the Ibrox civil war by apparently offering the troubled club board £3m NOT to play Celtic in the Sydney Super Cup.
Two years ago the South African based criminal stepped down from his role as chairman of the company running the Tribute Act with a growing rift developing with his former band of brothers.
Yesterday Club 1872, who are attempting to buy out King’s shareholding, launched a very detailed list of criticisms about the current Ibrox executive who responded with an attack on a rump of fans involved in propaganda wars.
Fans across the club have reacted angrily to the club statement, guided by his media managers Kings knows the exact sources to plant stories to cause further grief for Stewart Robertson, Douglas Park and the others in the Blue Room of dignity.

Record Sport understands the former Ibrox chairman made his pledge to the board over the weekend as fan protests against the controversial Sydney Super Cup proposal spilled onto the pitch at Dens Park, repeatedly interrupting a vital top flight clash with Dundee.
Sources at the club insist King has offered to cover any losses incurred should Rangers withdraw from the four team tournament – including the costs of a potential massive legal bill for breaching a contract signed with the tournament’s Australian organisers.
It’s unclear at this point if King has asked for a seat on the board in return for his cash offer – having already had one request for a boardroom return booted out earlier this year.

The Aussie trip could be worth around £3million to Rangers and Herald and Times Sport understands former chairman King has now offered to cover the costs should the Ibrox board find a way to pull out of the Super Cup and attempt to save face with a disgruntled fanbase.

Whatever people think of King, hes not a mug that’s for sure. You don’t become a multimillionaire if you suffer fools easily. I’d imagine there will be a seat back on their board with the offer, as I can’t see that being for nothing. The pr war starts between king, and the ibrox owners.
Editor: I think anyone that has invested in two different Ibrox clubs could easily be described as a mug. Mister King however fights tooth and nail to get his money plus interest back, be foolish to try a fast one on the South African based ‘businessman’,
Come November, with Celtic as champions it will be a very very hard pill to swallow for the “loyal fans” across the city to stomach,going as cheer leaders to Australia, for a Celtic knee’s up.
