Stan Collymore brilliantly takes out Chelsea and Rangers in one tweet

After 19 years of buying his way into respectability justice finally caught up with Roman Abramovich today when his assets were frozen.

The most public sign of Abramovich’s wealth has been Chelsea Football Club with two Champions League victories financed by an oligarch who owes all of his wealth to Vladimir Putin.

With his friend waging war on the people of Ukraine the UK Government has finally taken action against Abramovich with Chelsea in the front line with a range of sanctions applied.

Tickets can no longer be sold for matches at Stamford Bridge, the club shop has been closed, Three has withdrawn their shirt sponsorship with a whole range of knock-on effects as the club pays the price.

It is unlikely that Pat Nevin and Jason Cundy will be viewed as essential employees by Chelsea TV.

Collymore has little sympathy for Chelsea and their ill-gotten gains, he had a similar attitude in 2012 when Rangers were put into liquidation after years of fielding players that they couldn’t afford through a tax scam that was judged to be disguised remuneration by the Supreme Court in 2017.
