Mikey Johnston starts his first match in almost a month as Celtic take on Partick Thistle in a Glasgow Cup tie at Airdrie.

January signing from Sligo Rovers, Johnny Kenny, makes his first Celtic appearance today, leading the line in the round robin tournament.

Johnston has been dogged by injury over the last two years, in his last first team outing he had to be replaced 10 minutes into the second half of the Scottish Cup tie against Raith Rovers.

Jota has been the regular choice to play on the left wing but having Johnston back to full fitness would come as a big boost.

Karamoko Dembele continues his comeback with his third appearance for the B team either side of a brief first team appearance against St Mirren

First team opportunities will be limited with fixtures down to one a week but the return of Johnston and Karamoko gives some extra depth and options to Ange Postecoglou.
