Absolutely Not Good Enough- how Hugh Keevins explained what Ange stood for

At the start of August the knives were sharpened for Ange Postecoglou.

One veteran pundit took particular delight in Celtic losing out to Midtjylland and Hearts over the course of a couple of days. He tipped Aberdeen to finish above Celtic in the SPFL Premiership.

On August 1 Hugh Keevins shared his wisdom with the readership of the Sunday Mail and Daily Record online:

At the very least we now know what the Ange in Ange Postecoglou stands for.

Absolutely. Not. Good. Enough.

There does seem to be a special hostility reserved for non-Scots that manage Celtic. Wim Jansen and Dr Jo Venglos got it, more recently Ronny Deila was virtually trashed on arrival.

Eight months on Postecoglou has a growing collection of Manager of the Month awards that he instantly shares among his backroom staff.

His satisfaction comes on and off the pitch. Watching a group of players train hard all week, put on a show on matchday and take the adulation of 60,000 grateful fans at home matches.
