All was happy and glorious for Kris Boyd in the Sky Sports studio for 85 minutes of last night’s Europa League Semi-Final in Leipzig.Â
In a clear nod to Walter Smith the Tribute Act parked the bus with Boyd lapping up the masterclass as he shared matey gags with Anton Ferdinand and others in the studio.Â
Leipzig looked to have ran out of ideas, their star striker was having a Sebo but with five minutes left to play Angelino volleyed a 22 yard shot past Allan McGregor. Boydy’s face fell, the gags dried up and the prospect of a jolly out to Seville started to fall.Â

On Sunday Boyd is expected to be part of the Sky Sports team covering the Glasgow Derby, another defeat for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side will effectively hand the SPFL title to Celtic- and plunge the former Kilmarnock striker into a deeper bout of depression.  Â
