Flabbergasted John from Bridgeton howls at the moon on Super Scoreboard

On the eve of the biggest match in their history Ibrox fans are getting kind of hot under the collar about nominations for PFA Scotland’s Team of the Year.

Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic, Craig Gordon and Regan Chales-Cook have been nominated for the award with Euro heroes such as James Tavernier and Ryan Kent overlooked.

The claim that ‘no-one likes us we don’t care’ has rarely sounded so shallow as sensitive bears look everywhere for insults and slights on their almost 10 year old institution.

As they prepare for a Europa League semi-final there seems to be no gratitude to Charles Green or Mike Ashley for their efforts in 2012 or for Stewart Regan, Neil Doncaster and friends who pushed through the Five Way Agreement with Financial Fair Play abandoned to fast-track a club from Ibrox into the top flight.

John from Bridgeton was flabbergasted at the PFA nominations, he wasn’t alone.
