Heartbreak for bears as loyal Supporters Clubs are balloted just one ticket for Celtic Park

The most loyal Sevco Supporters Clubs have been allocated just one ticket for Sunday’s match at Celtic Park.

Away fans are back for the fixture for the first time since December 2019 with a few token real supporters in among fat-cat corporates for the match that could see Celtic go to just a point away from officially claiming the title.

Loyal fans that have been to Annan, Peterhead, Brechin and Elgin over the last decade now face the heartbreak of a ballot to see which bear gets the ticket to sit alongside 58,000 Selik supporters.

Back in 2018 Dave King decided to cut Celtic’s Ibrox allocation from 7,000 to 700 on the back of four successive away wins, when Celtic replicated that move the squealing began.

Ally McCoist pleaded on Friday for both clubs to get together, perhaps the Sevco shareholder could lobby his directors to return to the levels of 2017/18.

Earlier this month 700 Celtic fans stayed long after the bears had gone home to celebrate a 2-1 win at Ibrox.
