Travelling Ibrox fans poisoned the air of Leipzig yesterday as they celebrated their cocktail of hatred.

Throughout the day in the city centre locals had to ensure songs about hating and killing Irish people and Catholics in the name of sport.

Around 6,000 fans made up of the dregs from Larkhall, Kilwinning, Airdrie, Bearsden and Bridgeton travelled to the German city with the travelling Scottish media revelling in the poison they exported.

Thankfully they stopped short of George Square levels of violence but it made for an uncomfortable day for anyone outwith the limited gene pool of the away fans.

Midway through the first half the TV cameras turned to the fans where one female was leading the way with the theme from The Dambusters.

As we see in Ukraine war isn’t really something to celebrate. Almost 80 years on it takes a very special mindset to celebrate the effect of the Barnes Wallis Bouncing Bomb in World War II but that will be quite topical for a fanbase with a songbook that is based around the late 17th century.

RB Leipzig won the match 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Angelino.
