Anyone looking in on last Sunday’s Glasgow Derby would certainly have noticed the impressive rebranding.
At three different levels pitch-side advertising boards beamed the Old Firm message while an impressive archway was constructed for the two teams to emerge from.
Every article from the home club relating to the match mentioned the Old Firm with that message now getting through to such an extent that Sevco seems to be getting phased out to be replaced by the Old Firm.
With the shackles of BBC Scotland long since removed Jim Spence has embraced the new branding, it certainly seems to be catching on.
Watching Sportscene, and for all that the games have been fascinating, it’s a sad day that the big prize for the rest outside of Celtic and the Old Firm is a place in the top six.
