O** F*** tag is binned at Ibrox

Any visitors to Ibrox yesterday would be left in no doubt that they were watching The O** F***.

Perimeter advertising boards beamed the message out long before kick-off with the home club all-in with the lazy tag-line.

For added measure the two teams emerged from the tunnel underneath an archway bearing the phrase as the Ibrox company tried to milk their geographical link to the club that has word 13 of the last 16 Scottish honours.

And then they ditched it- thrown out with the rest of the trash from the match in which their fans shamed themselves, their club and Scotland.

A handful threw glass bottles at footballers and medics, hundreds around them sat in silence while club stewards looked the other way. It remains to be seen if the incidents were picked up by CCTV.

Both clubs, who are heavily invested in the O** F*** brand have stayed silent today on the shameful incidents at Sunday’s match. With two more fixtures to be played this season there is still plenty of money to be made from the branding even if their joint venture to Sydney is off.

Celtic aren’t scheduled to be back at Ibrox until the end of this year with the next two SPFL matches both due at Celtic Park.
