Cameron Carter-Vickers’ three year international exile could be coming to an end.Â
The central defender has been a mainstay in Ange Postecoglou’s side that is within touching distance of winning the SPFL title.Â
Carter-Vickers has picked up eight international caps, all of them in friendlies, but hasn’t played for his country since June 2019 when he featured for 19 minutes as a substitute against Jamaica.Â
There has been a couple of loan spells since then but this season at Celtic seems to have advanced his prospects with World Cup places up for grabs.Â
(Plus can’t discount the possibility that the USA‘s opening game at the World Cup is against Scotland.)

This week Carter-Vickers complete focus will be on starring in another Glasgow Derby success but some big career decisions will soon have to be made.Â
At the age of 24 it is unlikely that he is about to find a place in the Spurs squad leaving him with the dilemma of committing to Celtic or perhaps taking up one of the rumoured offers from the EPL which is unlikely to come with European football.Â
