Celtic fans given early Tannadice ticket warning

Celtic fans have been warned that they could be turned away from the turnstiles at Tannadice tomorrow even if they have valid tickets.

With an allocation of around 4,000 tickets for away fans demand to see the potential title decider has been sky high.

Large sections of the home stands are expected to be empty but yesterday United announced that they had cancelled a significant number of tickets that they suspected had been sold to Celtic fans.

Denying fans with tickets entry to the stadium has been used at Tynecastle on a couple of occasions.

With prior warning of demand it shouldn’t be beyond the organisational limits of the home club to ensure adequate stewarding to ensure that only fans with tickets gain access through the turnstiles.

Tomorrow’s match will be shown live on Sky Sports with a 7.30pm kick-off, 15 minutes earlier than the five other Premiership matches.
