Deep Concerns referee in charge of Celtic’s potential title clincher

Nick Walsh will referee Celtic for the fourth time this season when the hoops take on Dundee United at Tannadice.

A point will be good enough for Ange Postecoglou’s side to claim the SPFL Premiership title and set off scenes of celebrations across Scotland and beyond.

Walsh was in charge of a bruising encounter against St Johnstone earlier in the season, questioned about that performance and the frequency of Bonny Madden appointments Celtic chairman Ian Bankier told the club AGM that he had deep concerns about refereeing issues.

In his previous Celtic matches Walsh has been in charge of wins in the SPFL and League Cup against St Johnstone plus the 3-1 victory over Livingston at the start of March.

Alan Muir will referee Saturday’s match between Celtic and Motherwell, a week later Walsh will bee the fourth official at the Scottish Cup Foal at Hampden, last season he refereed the Hibs v St Johnstone final.
