Mohanad Jeahze has spoken out about the recurring speculation that he is a transfer target for Celtic.

The defender is under contract with Hammerby until the end of next year with a move this summer likely to be most beneficial for all parties.

Greg Taylor is virtually a fixture at left-back for Celtic but the signing of Jeahze would give Ange Postecoglou the sort of competition on the left that he has with Tony Ralston and Josip Juranovic on the right.

Speaking to Fotbal Direkt, Jeahze said:

I am here in Hammarby and I have a contract with the club over the next season as well. I do not know where the rumours come from but it is clear that Celtic is a big club, but it is not something I focus on right now.

Quite honestly, I have told those I work with that I do not want to know anything about a club being interested until an agreement is written and we are not there now. I thrive very well in Hammarby.

There is an international class of supporters and we play good football. I have no stress to leave Hammarby and if I did, it should be for something really good because I want the club to get paid well as well.

Ange Postecoglou is looking to get his transfer business completed early with signings in place for the pre-season training camp in Austria at the start of July.

There won’t be anything like the scale of signings that Postecoglou got through last summer but a repeat of the quality brought in during the January window will be welcome.

With Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic leaving there is less congestion in midfield but legacy signings such as Ismaila Soro, Boli Bolingoli, Vasilias Barkas and Albian Ajeti remain on the payroll.
