There was a very different feel to Glasgow this morning as the city woke up to a title party to truly celebrate.

Across many streets the Irish tricolour was flying in recognition of Celtic being presented with the SPFL Premiership trophy this afternoon.

Hoops fans were denied a celebration in 2020 when they won 9-in-a-row and complied with the laws of the land during a national lockdown. Last year the residents and businesses in Glasgow city centre were less fortunate although BBC Scotland, STV and Sky Sports opted to keep their cameras away from the flashpoints.

Today there is a more relaxed feeling to the celebrations about to get underway. There is no anger, sense of injustice or overpowering Superiority Complex, just supporters delighted that their team has been transformed successfully, playing an exciting, free-flowing brand of football.

The match gets underway at 12.15 today with the trophy presentation around 2.15, after that the streets will fill up with happy supporters with no threat to park benches or statues.
