For some reason Celtic fans were tweeting excitedly in anticipation of Friday’s programme from BBC Scotland about how Ange Postecoglou’s squad won the SPFL Premiership title.

It is quite a leap of faith to think that the broadcaster that thinks Steven Thompson has a personality and regularly teams him up with Kenny Miller and Richard Foster could do justice to the way that the 21/22 title was won.

For extra spice James Dishwater McFadden sometimes gets called in with BBC Scotland Sport deciding that Tom English, Kenny Macintyre and Alasdair Lamont are best left on the radio.

Shelley Kerr is another BBC Scotland favourite as is Pistol Pete Lovenkrandts, last season they had to suffer as Celtic pit a faltering start behind them to win 27 and draw five as they took the title in style.

Included in that run were victories in the February and April Glasgow derbies, two matches that make for very painful editing with the state broadcaster.

What a disaster of a programme, disrespecting its target audience. It started with the factually incorrect ’55’ and went further under with an array of blue footage and commentary. This was no ‘error of judgement’, this was ‘pissing on the parade’. Paid for by public funds and administered by bigots.

Beyond embarrassing, no shame in bbc’sblue coverage of Scottish football. Totally biased towards the blue brigade they don’t even try to be impartial. As wooden as the flower pot men as talented as Alex rae in their analysis shameful week after week. Surely an upgrade is required to stop the never-ending embarrassed and bias
