Celtic have until June 15 to complete a deal to sign Cameron Carter-Vickers from Spurs on a permanent basis.

The defender moved to Scotland at the end of the summer transfer window on a season long loan which is believed to include an option to buy.

Ultimately any decision falls on the player with the value of the 24-year-old likely to have increased over his 45 Celtic appearances under Ange Postecoglou.

UPDATE: Deadline is June 15, not June 12 as I initially reported.

Last week Carter-Vickers was pictured on holiday with Stephen Welsh, Tony Ralston, Jota and Carl Starfelt which would suggest that he is open to returning to Celtic next season.

The timeline doesn’t seem to be an issue, after international duty Celtic players will return for pre-season training at the start of July in Austria.

If the June 12 deadline passes without an agreement being struck Celtic are likely to look at other options although a later deal could be agreed with so many factors involved.

Larry Henry has been close to news since he broke news of Celtic’s interest in the Spurs defender last June.
