Kenny Dalglish has highlighted the recruitment edge that Celtic should have over the summer transfer window.

Winning the SPFL Premiership title back carried a sweet feeling but there are another of bonuses that also come with the biggest prize in the Scottish game.

After discussing a summer of uncertainty at Ibrox, Dalglish tells Sunday Post readers:

Across the city, by winning the SPFL Premiership, Celtic gained automatic entry into the Champions League and that guaranteed financial windfall.

That has given Celtic certainty of what they are able to do in the coming weeks. Having that sort of clarity should be beneficial to Ange Postecoglou and his recruitment department.

They know what they have to spend and they know when they are talking to agents and signing targets they are doing so in the knowledge they are in Europe’s No. 1 club competition.

That kind of stability and certainty is so helpful. But, of course, it doesn’t guarantee success.

So far Ange Postecoglou has barely made a mistake in the transfer market, James McCarthy has barely featured but the extent of the manager’s involvement in that deal could be questioned.

Soon after the summer window closed Postecoglou was fairly certain on what he wanted from the next window with Daizen Maeda, Yosuke Ideguchi and Reo Hatate announced as signings on December 31.

With the quality of the squad significantly stronger than the one Postecoglou inherited a year ago improving the quality will be a harder task but Postecoglou appears to be a man with a plan, thinking one window ahead when it comes to the transfer market.

Off topic here but for a laugh on FF they are bragging about 100,000 fans in Seville last week all spending at least a £1000+ each fan to get there and accommodation, but here’s the best bit they calculated it to £100 million spent.
Lol if only the same 100,000 people gave the auld klub that money the would never had died.
