Tomorrow night Andy Robertson will play in his third Champions League Final.

A second final clash against Real Madrid awaits in Paris, the opportunity to add to his League Cup and FA Cup winners’ medals.

The Scotland captain is enjoying the peak years of his career, Jurgen Klopp’s side are earning comparisons with the greatest Liverpool sides of all time.

Robertson will be critical tomorrow in tomorrow’s clash between two clubs that have won the ultimate trophy 19 times.

There is one ambition however that the defender still harbours, an achievement that has evaded him so far as he told The Sun:

As a young boy my dream was to play Champions League football at Celtic Park. I wanted to be in a green and white jersey, now obviously being at such a massive club like Liverpool, I think I would enjoy it.

I’ve obviously been there as a fan, done ball boy games for Champions League nights at Celtic. The atmosphere is incredible. It’s very similar to Anfield and I’d love the rest of them to experience it in there.

Obviously that’s not until next season but if we did get them then it would be an occasion that I’d look forward to.

Robertson did play at Celtic Park for Dundee United as he made the journey from Queens Park to Anfield via Tannadice and Hull City.

Celtic haven’t played in the Champions League since losing at home to Anderlecht in December 2017, the draw for next season’s group will take place on August 25.
