Michael Stewart has issued a very detailed apology to James Traynor- two years after making critical comments on Radio Scotland.
The former Hearts and Manchester United midfielder was briefly off-air following the Sportsound episode, although he is now back on radio and television has profile has been marginalised by the state broadcaster.
Stewart’s comments were in relation to an interview that Alfredo Morelos gave to Sky Sports, very soon after broadcast it was revealed that the subtitles used had big discrepancies to what the Colombian had said during the interview.
Soon afterwards Traynor stepped down from his PR role at Ibrox with chairman Dave King walking away at roughly the same time.
