Once again Ange Postecoglou has vowed to stick by his methods despite Celtic’s upcoming Champions League campaign.

Over the weekend some more places were confirmed with Celtic left in Pot 4 as they return to the top table for the first time in five years.

Under Brendan Rodgers Celtic lost seven goals away to Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain as they attempted to play the sort of passing game that their opponents are masters off.

Shutting up shop and parking the bus has been suggested as alternatives but Rodgers refused to alter from his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.

In the Europa League group stage Postecoglou’s side returned a 13-15 goal difference over six matches but the suggestion of doing things slightly different doesn’t wash with the Celtic manager.

I’ve never owned a bus, mate. I’m sure there’ll be – as there has in my whole career – people telling me I need to adjust my approach and temper my aggression. I’ve done pretty well just sticking to it, to be fair, so I’ll just keep going

The group draw for the Champions League will take place on August 25 with a very demanding schedule of matches on September 6/7, September 12/13, October 4/5, October 11/12, October 25/26 and November 1 and 2 to ensure that the last 16 is decided before the World Cup Finals start.
