Scott Brown has passed on his thanks after the latest tribute to the now retired former Celtic skipper from some of his old team-mates.

A year ago the midfielder was leaving behind an empty Celtic Park to join Aberdeen but with a change of manager in February he opted to follow Stephen Glass out of Pittodrie.

At the weekend Brown announced his retirement from playing with his focus now on moving into management with the Raith Rovers vacancy an obvious link.

Tom Rogic, James Forrest, John Kennedy and Callum McGregor were alongside Brown for many of the key moments in his illustrious Celtic career which included a 9-in-a-row triumph and the absolutely unprecedented Quadruple Treble.

Lockdown prevented Brown from getting a proper farewell from the Celtic support, if all goes well at Tannadice on Wednesday there would be no-one more welcome than Broony at Saturday’s SPFL presentation ceremony.
