Talks have progressed quickly- Sky Sports reporter on Celtic’s first summer transfer
Anthony Joseph has reported that talks to bring Mohanad Jeahze progressed quickly on Tuesday.
The Sky Sports News reporter is normally very reliable on Celtic transfer matters although he did jump the gun last year with Ben Davies moving from Preston only for the defender to join Liverpool.
Under Ange Postecoglou Celtic’s transfer activity has a very different feel with 25-year-old Jeahze fitting the new template.
Younger projects and sell-on deals (usually to Southampton) have been binned in favour of first-team ready signings ready to step straight into action.
Celtic are in advanced talks with Hammarby over a deal to sign left-back Mohanad Jeahze.
It’s understood the 25-year-old Iraq international told the Swedish club he wants to move to Scotland.

Jeahze looks like competing with Greg Taylor for the left-back spot in much the way as Tony Ralston and Josip Juranovic are vying for the right-back place.
Two years after joining Hammerby from Mjallby AIK (no reation to Johan) it seems that the Iraqi international will be sold this summer with his contract running until December 2023.
