The Sky Sports tweet that Ange Postecoglou gloriously demolished

In mid to late September Celtic and Ange Postecoglou were being openly mocked.

Two 6-0 home wins and getting past AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League play-off had given Celtic fans reason to believe that Angeball would work but there was decent evidence that the transition would be challenging.

The transfer window was closed, six games into the SPFL campaign the hoops had nine points which was mid-table form with Hibs and Aberdeen appearing to some to be in better shape.

Steven Gerrard was first to jump ship, Jack Ross was sacked ahead of a League Cup Final place against Celtic with the axe falling on Stephen Glass in February.

Postecoglou outlasted them all, this morning as well as being a point away from claiming the SPFL title the Australian is the seventh longest serving manager in the Premiership with Dundee and St Mirren also under new management.

Angeball and the Australian brought in from Japan were the subject of scorn but a 30 match unbeaten run tends to change the landscape with Celtic picking up 80 points during that run.

Last Sunday Postecoglou picked up the PFA Scotland Manager of the Year Award, on Friday he collected his fourth successive Manager of the Month Award. Only a fool would tweet against more recognition for the manager and trophies for his team.
