In a four and a half minute interview with ABC Sport of Australia an emotional Ange Postecoglou opened up on the issues that matter to him.
The influences of his wife and late father were touched on as was the passion of the Celtic support, something that has never quite transferred itself into Australian soccer.
Working in European football seemed to be a long term goal for the former Australian international boss but even after steering his nation to the 2014 World Cup Finals in Brazil there was no stampede of offers for his service.
Perhaps the 56-year-old is regarded as an old school boss but with Celtic stripped to the bone last year it needed more than a first team manager to revive the club and give belief back to a support that had been badly let down on the park and pushed into the margins by a hierarchy that always knew what was best.
“I know he’s watching somewhere.”

Those that know me know that first year I try to kick start things, we’re not finished. We’ve done a helluva lot, we’ve achieved a lot and it’s the nature of this football club that we are going to roll up next year and our supporters expect us to be good, they expect us to win, they expect us to be successful again. That’s exactly where I want to be.
