There was a party atmosphere in the very centre of Glasgow as Celtic fans celebrated their side’s SPFL title win.

A year ago George Square was turned into a virtual war zone despite Lockdown restrictions but around Glasgow Cross, High Street and the Merchant City fans young and old celebrated the success of Ange Postecoglou’s side.

With the Premiership title secured on Wednesday night the hoops showed that they never stop by sweeping Motherwell aside 6-0 with Giorgos Giakoumakis and Kyogo Furuhashi each scoring twice.

Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton made their final appearances for the club but the day belonged to Ange Postecoglou with some well chosen words afterwards to match the display of his players.

Afterwards men, women and children walked into the city centre with the sunshine adding to the party mood among the 60,000 who had watched Callum McGregor raise the trophy.
