Not long after the players finally left the pitch at Tannadice crowds started to gather at Celtic Park.
Around 4,000 away fans were inside Tannadice with frustratingly large sections of the ground half empty as Ange Postecoglou’s side drew 1-1 to collect the point needed to secure the title.
It takes the best part of two hours to drive from Dundee to Glasgow but after the miseries of last season waiting till midnight for the return of the champions was no hardship.

For most of the Celtic squad it was a brand new experience- 12 months ago not many Celtic fans would have been able to identify Giorgos Giakoumakis, Kyogo Furuhashi or Matt O’Riley if they were turning off London Road into the Celtic Way.
Now they are heroes, delivering a title that looked unlikely when the three of the first six SPFL matches were lost.
Since then Postecoglou has built real momentum, after the overnight celebrations 60,000 will be inside Celtic Park on Saturday to hail the title winners as they get to reclaim the SPFL trophy.
