You Don’t Know What you’re Doing- Watch the latest madness from Bobby Madden

Bobby Madden was indulging in make-it-up-as-you-go-along at Easter Road on Saturday when Aberdeen were the visitors.

The East Kilbride based whistler gave a ‘puzzling’ display in last month’s Scottish Cup semi-final with John Lundstram given extra scope to do anything he liked without any sign of cards being produced.

Madden has recently developed a tendency to award a baffling decision then signal that one team takes the free-kick then changes his mind to award the free kick to the other team.

That trait was on display on Saturday with the normally loyal and true Rob MacLean of Red TV at a loss to justify the actions of the referee.

Racing out of his penalty box Harry Clarke of Hibs decided on a shoulder high attempt to clear the ball as Lewis Ferguson moved forward.

To most it looked a clear red card with the contact barely outside the 18-yard line. Had it been inside the box a yellow card and penalty would have been the correct decision.

For reasons known only to himself Madden shaped up for a Hibs free-kick, hesitated then gave the free-kick to Aberdeen with no colour of card issued to Clark.

It seems that Madden’s performance levels have dipped as he concentrates on building up his Instagram profile.
