Twelve years after leaving Celtic for CSKA Moscow Aiden McGeady is back in Scottish football, signing for Hibs.
The £10m fee that Celtic picked up allowed Neil Lennon to rebuild the squad he inherited from Tony Mowbray with Gary Hooper, Tony Stokes, Emilio Izaguirre, Joe Ledley and Beram Kayal quickly settling in.
Not many folk expected McGeady to crack it in Moscow but he is nothing if not determined and stayed in the Russian capital for four years before joining Everton.

At various stages there has been speculation that McGeady would return to Celtic but it never quite happened with the winger spending the last five seasons at Sunderland.
Hibs never managed to replace Martin Boyle after selling the winger in January, with McGeady on board they’ll be looking to push for a European place after finishing in the bottom six last season under three different manager.
Celtic host Hibs on October 15.
Aiden is at the very least due an apology from the bug eyed creep that is Jonathan Sutherland of the BBC, who once called him Aiden McTraitor on Sportscene.
All the best Aidan. RIp the sons and cousins a new one.
