Allan McGregor is considering walking out on The Tribute Act.

In 2012 the goalkeeper reused to TUPE his contract over to the new club set up by Charles Green, signing a lucrative contract in Turkey with Besiktas.

For the last four years Greegsy has been the first choice keeper at Ibrox but the club has been slow to put an acceptable offer in front of the 40-year-old.

The Sun reports:

ALLAN McGREGOR has been offered the chance to end his career in the desert.

SunSport can reveal a two-year deal is on the table from the UAE as the goalkeeper ponders his next move.

The 40-year-old is out of contract after helping Rangers reach last season’s Europa League Final but talks with the Ibrox club have not advanced with McGregor not shy of offers elsewhere.

A move to the Middle East would hand the ex-Scotland international one last bumper pay day.

McGregor is a frequent visitor to Dubai but the UAE story might be aimed at flushing out a better offer from transfer guru Ross Wilson.

In the 2022 Europa League Final the Ibrox shot stopper failed to save any of Eintracht Frankfurt’s five penalties.
