Antonio Colak has been linked with a move to Ibrox.

Last August the striker became Scottish football legend when he scored twice at Ibrox to send Malmo towards the group stage of the Champions League.

All looked on course for a happy and glorious ending when Alfredo Morelos levelled the aggregate scores.

With Innocent Bonke sent off just before half-time they were almost looking up Zadoc The Priest at Ibrox but Colak, on loan from PAOK, had other ideas with his goals in the 53rd and 57th minutes sending a chill through Ibrox that is still felt to this day.

The Sun reports:

ANTONIO COLAK destroyed Rangers’ Champions League dreams almost year ago.

But according to a report, the Light Blues have had a bid rejected for the Croatian striker by his current club PAOK.

Almost a year on from that, it is being claimed the Ibrox club have now made a bid to make Colak a Rangers player.

Greek sports journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, from the outlet Sportime, has reported that the Light Blues have seen that offer rejected by PAOK.

Greek outlet Sport24 first reported that Rangers had made an offer to sign the big forward from the Super League side.

The 28-year old was only on loan at Malmo from the PAOK, spending March to December last year in Sweden. He proved prolific there, bagging 22 goals in 41 appearances.

Despite reports of record turnover on the back of the run to the final of the Europa League and the Nathan Patterson windfall the Ibrox club haven’t yet signed anyone with pre-season starting on Monday. Surprisingly no £25m bids have yet came in for Calvin Bassey.
