Bernabei signs but it is another Celtic transfer ‘deal’ that is trending on Twitter

Alexandro Bernabei enjoyed a bit more than 15 minutes of fame but Jota is the name that is trending on Twitter this morning. 

It seems that the announcement of one signing has upped the expectations that the well travelled winger is about to become a permanent Celtic signing. 

Since the final match of last season almost every report coming from Portugal has claimed that the permanent departure from Benfica is a formality but day by day there has been growing doubts about the deal going through.

Cameron Carter-Vickers’ move from Spurs was completed on June 10 while he was on international duty but when Celtic started pre-season training on Monday there was still no sign of Jota. 

Yesterday A Bola named the day, today with some unconfirmed claims of the elusive winger being in Glasgow. 

Twitter searches for Jota seem to keep on returning the same articles, with a home strip still to be launched it could be that Celtic and Adidas are still waiting for the right moment to announce the deal that has dominated the summer thoughts of thousands of Celtic supporters.
