Celtic will play their first match of the 22/23 season against SC Wiener Viktoria on July 6 at Bad Erlach, close to their Austrian training camp.

The match kicks off at 5.30pm Celtic Park Time and will be shown live on Celtic TV (details shown at the bottom of the homepage of the Viktoria website).

A match against Rapid Vienna has been confirmed for July 9 with the friendly three days earlier the first chance for fans to see Ben Siegrist and Alexandro Bernabei who is expected to complete his transfer from Lanus this week.

Postecoglou could take a squad of 30 players to Austria as he steps up extensive fitness work with two friendly matches as he really gets to work on the squad that he shaped during the course of last season.

It is very likely that there will be very few survivors from last season’s opening friendly when Owen Moffat impressed and scored against Sheffield Wednesday in a closed doors match in Wales.

Celtic also have home friendlies against Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City alongside trips to Banic Ostrava and Legia Warsaw.
