Celtic’s summer 2021 signing has his value rocket

The chairman of Macabbi Petah Tikav, Avi Luzon believes that Liel Abada is now a 20m euros player.

After helping Celtic to win the SPFL Premiership title the winger is impressing at international level with a goal for Israel in their 2-2 draw at home to Iceland and impressing in the 2-1 victory away to Albania.

Abada’s season started with a debut goal for Celtic against Midtjylland on July 20, this week it will finally come to a halt when he can take stock of 12 months of rapid development

Discussing the values of Abada and Manor Solomon, Luzon told One.co of Israel:

When I said that Manor (Solomon) is worth €20m people laughed. I was wrong, he is already worth €40m today. Liel’s worth today is much more than what he was sold for- €20m.

I am sure that they will continue to show their good ability and lead the Israeli national team to a major tournament. I love them. I always knew that their place was in the line up of the senior national team and in the future their place is guaranteed in the line up. I enjoy seeing them, I feel very proud.

Abada was Ange Postecoglou’s first major signing, costing 4m euros as a 19-year-old and going straight into the team, playing on the right-wing.

Fifteen goals across six competitions was an impressive marker with a 90th minute winner at home to Dundee United at the end of January followed up by the third first half goal in the Glasgow derby a few days later the most important strikes.

Celtic will be in no rush to sell Abada but if a £20m offer comes in they will certainly open negotiations with Luzon and Maccabi Petah Tikav looking forward to picking up their slice through the sell on clause.
