Dutch starlet snubs van Bronckhorst as he escapes PSG

Every transfer window seems to include news of an international wonderkid destined for Ibrox. 

Just like transfer interest in Alfredo Morelos/Ryan Kent/Glen Kamara dozens of articles are produced explaining why A/B/C is destined for Ibrox to take their career to the next level. 

In January Xavi Simons was the target, out of favour at Paris Saint Germain and needing regular football. 

At the age of 19 what could be better for the Dutch youth international than coming under the influence of Giovanni van Bronckhorst? 

Alas the wishful thinking failed to materialise, the January window closed with Simons still at PSG, yesterday he switched letters to PSV and the chance to reach the Champions League group stage through the same non-champions route that van Bronckhorst will be taking at the start of August.

? Xavi Simons will only sign a new contract at Paris Saint-Germain this month if he is guaranteed a loan move, with Rangers one of the potential clubs he could join.
