Joe Hart, Stephen Welsh and Nir Bitton were among the first to react to the announcement that Cameron Carter-Vickers has signed a four year Celtic contract.Â
The defender followed Hart from Spurs last season, struck up an impressive understanding and helped Celtic to pull off an unexpected SPFL Premiership title success.Â
Over the last four weeks there has been a stream of pointers towards a deal being struck between the two clubs and Carter-Vickers but until is announced there is always the prospect of a glitch.Â
Shortly after 6pm tonight Celtic gave their fans a weekend boost with the news that the defender would be returning for the defence of the title and a stab at Champions League football which could involve a clash with Spurs.Â
The next transfer task is to get Jota signed up, after taking his Celtic kit on holiday to New York hopes are high that another signing announcement is just a matter of timing.Â
