Kyogo Furuhashi is back in the Japanese national team for the lunchtime match against Brazil.

The Celtic striker hasn’t played for the national side this year after suffering a serious hamstring injury against St Johnstone in December.

Japan gained automatic qualification for the World Cup Finals in Kyogo’s absence but after returning to the Celtic side in April he has been restored to favour in the national team.

Although today’s match is a friendly Hajime Moriyasu is picking his strongest side which also includes reported Celtic target Kou Itakuru. Daizen Maeda is listed as a substitute.

Japan finish off their international commitments next week at the Kiren Cup, after a short break Kyogo and Maeda will return to join up with Ange Postecoglou’s squad at a training camp in Austria.

Reo Hatate was in the Japan squad that qualified for the World Cup Finals by winning away to Australia but has been left out of the squad for the June internationals.
