Aaron Ramsey’s career is in limbo as he holds out for a pay out from Juventus while the clock ticks towards the World Cup Finals in November.
A disastrous loan spell at Ibrox, unless you are an Eintracht Frankfurt or Celtic fan, confirmed to Juventus that there is nothing left in the Welshman’s tank.
Failing to play a full 90 minutes at his loan club, Ramsey reported fit and well to play a full part in Wales’ qualification for the World Cup Finals with wins over Austria and Ukraine.
The final year of Ramsey’s Juventus contract could be worth as much as £7m with no chance of those sort of wages being matched elsewhere.
Sitting on the sidelines at Juventus won’t do his World Cup hopes any good but after being involved in transfer talks Turkish side Fatih Karagumumruk have decided to drop their interest in the 31-year-old.
The Sun reports:
AARON RAMSEY is no clearer to finding out what lies ahead of him after leaving Rangers after his latest move to a new club collapsed at the last minute.
The former Gers loanee was wanted by ex-Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo, who has recently taken charge of Fatih Karagümrük in Turkey.
But club president Suleyman Hurman says Ramsey, 31, is no longer an option for them. Hurman said: “We practically reached the stage of an agreement with Ramsey but then we gave up.”
At the weekend Ramsey’s international team-mate Gareth Bale announced that he was joining LAFC in the MLS in order to get fit for the World Cup Finals.
