Interest in Alfredo Morelos is apparently high although no bids have yet been made for the chunky striker.

That is the breaking news from Fraser Fletcher which will read like Déjà Vu for anyone that has lived through the last 10 transfer windows.

Mystery clubs in China through to Barcelona have been keeping tabs and weighing up their options but so far not a single bid has been delivered, let alone one with the offer of Dembele Dollars.

BBC Scotland has been at the heart of much of the speculation, trying to give the impression that the former HJK Helsinki striker is in demand across the continent.

Fraser Fletcher seems to work in the background somewhere for the state broadcaster, clearly he has aspirations to rub shoulders with giants like Tom English, Kenny Macintyre, Alasdair Lamont and Jane Lewis.

On Linkedin Fletcher claims:

Sport Reporter/TX journalist/Writer

From organizing case studies to presenting live at the fan zone during Euro 2020 I have covered many positions in my 4 years at the BBC. Sport is my passion, especially football and from bespoke packages about Barcelona, Kemar Roofe or presenting live during the euros I have a real passion for delivering high quality content on this front. I’ve also got a network of connections in the game and a high knowledge of football in the UK and abroad

My online content that I have made from my days with BBC the social (2016-2018) to now with The Nine at BBC Scotland has seen my content amass over 13 million views.

Morelos missed the last two months of the 21/22 season due to injury and is out of contract in May 2023.
