Roger Hannah is confident that Celtic will complete the transfers of Jota and Alexandro Bernabei this week.

The return of non-international players to Lennoxtown for pre-season training today brings an extra focus to Celtic’s transfer activities with Ben Siegrist, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Daizen Maeda recently signing deals.

Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton have left the club, Karamoko Dembele will be out of contract at the end of last week with most of the remaining squad having signed contracts over the last 12 months.

Apart from reports of interest in Josip Juranovic there is a feeling of stability around the Celtic squad with Hannah telling Sun readers to expect two more arrivals this week:

Alexandro Bernabei is expected to bolster Celts’ full-back options when he signs a five-year deal.

SunSport understands the Argentinian underwent his medical in Glasgow at the weekend and could even be unveiled on Monday.

The 21-year-old, who arrives from Lanus, will contest the left-back spot with Greg Taylor while Juranovic and Tony Ralston vie for the right-back role.

Celts return for pre- season on Monday ahead of a training camp in Austria, with winger Jota also expected to complete his permanent switch from Benfica this week.

Images and video clips from Lennoxtown will be scanned closely today but the real business gets underway next week when Ange Postecoglou takes his squad to Austria to step up training and play two friendlies.

Chris Jullien has 12 months left on his contract but other than that Postecoglou can plan ahead for the medium term knowing that his main players are tied up- hopefully including Bernabei and Jota.
