Harry Winks WONT be moving from Spurs to Ibrox.

In a tale in the same category as Robbie McCrorie and Ryan Kent joining Manchester United 90min.com came up with the yarn of Winks joining up with Steve Davis and Scott Arfield in midfield.

It seems that after taking Aaron Ramsey on loan last season the Ibrix club are being targetted by scammers looking to offload their unwanted goods.

Winks started just nine EPL matches last season with Antonio Conte making it clear that the 26-year-old has no future at the club.

Football Scotland, a sister site of the Daily Record, reports:

Rangers have been offered the chance to sign Harry Winks from Tottenham this summer, according to a report.

The midfielder has fallen out of favour since Mauricio Pochettino was in charge of the club with injuries also hampering his progress. The 26-year-old is now a peripheral figure in Antonio Conte’s squad and Spurs are happy to let him leave the club this summer.

And he has reportedly been offered to Rangers but they would face stiff competition for him with Everton believed to be leading the race. Crystal Palace, Brentford, Leicester and Wolves are all also interested in the England cap.

90min.com say Tottenham are looking to sell with his last Premier League start coming in February, with Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg the first choice midfield pair. They’ve now strengthened that position with the signing of Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma and that could allow Rangers to bring Winks to Ibrox.

It’s unclear if they’ve been offered a permanent deal or a loan option but it’s likely his wages could be prohibitive to any move.

Winks is under contract with Spurs until May 2024.
