STV’s credibility has been further damaged by their latest egg-shell treatment of matters Ibrox.Â
On Monday the Glasgow based broadcaster went to incredible lengths to avoid mentioning the football allegiance of a man outside of Ibrox who was charged with singing offensive songs and behaving in a disorderly manner. The incident took place on an ‘Old Firm Day’ in a match played behind closed doors.Â
The same journalistic gymnastics has been in action today with a press release from the Competition and Markets Authority over ‘Rangers’, Elite Sports and JD Sports being found guilty of price fixing.Â
The press release is worded to break down complex matters into easily understandable terms, in the case of STV it allows them to flip reality on its head:Â Â
The CMA has provisionally found that Elite Sports, JD Sports and Rangers Football Club broke competition law by fixing the retail prices of certain Rangers-branded clothing products.Â
STV were at the front of the queue to pay up for media access to Ibrox last season, allowing Raman to say ‘Good Morning Steven’ or ‘Hi Giovanni’ before asking the softest of softball questions.Â
A news agency like Reuters plays it straight down the middle, delivering factual news. STV has their own particular audience to feed with good news tales.

“Accused ” hints that there is some level of doubt when in fact they have been found that they actually did it.
We all know sevco would have the shirt of your back at the drop of a hat
I would think most clubs are at it and that includes our celtic most of the stuff sold is poor quality and is well overpriced they know the fan’s want to support their clubs but fans get ripped off by the clubs they support ticket prices drinks food etc just a big business now and fans pay the price.
I need to be careful how I word this now as don’t want to offend the cotton wool brigade on here, but the dafties that’s me having to tone it down a notch to describe the sevco support deserves to be ripped off they should be used to it by now, as for STV and Ramon the bag wash man he is another daftie (toned down again) he is next to the get racist sectarian treatment from the klan when they are finished verbally ubusive towards Catholics.
My previous word or name I used to describe sevco fans now gets deleted and replaced with the word Zombies I refuse to use it if my own word or a person’s name to describe is not allowed the point is missed so the SNOWFLAKE brigade win again.
