Even the gullibles are starting to waken up to the almost weekly, or weakly, deals being announced by James Bisgrove.
The smooth-talking, buzzword crunching Commercial guru has just added Socomec to the shabby family of sponsors at Ibrox with the low voltage electrical network replacing failed NFT firm Sportemongo as the bottom of the back shirt sponsor on the cherished Castore kit.
As well as being low voltage Socomec are also very low profile with just 606 UK twitter followers despite sending out almost 2,500 tweets.
Earlier this month Bisgrove claimed that commercial income had more than doubled to around £29m. So far Giovanni van Bronckhorst has yet to see any of that in his summer transfer budget other than the arrival of John Souttar.
Tomket, Bitci, SporteMongo, BioWaveGo and now Socomec. All of them getting their brand advertised all over our kits and stadium. They have won the lottery….
We haven’t.
The cheapening of our brand continues. https://t.co/HBcjIX9Z9k
