Settling down to watch Celtic’s first match of the season Ann Frances Murray was better known as Rudi’s wife, by full-time she was Rocco’s mum.Â
In the mid-nineties Rudi Vata was in and about the Celtic first team, enjoying a brilliant spell in May 1995 when he scored in a 3-0 Glasgow derby victory then helped Tommy Burns’ side lift the Scottish Cup to deliver Celtic’s first trophy in six years.Â
As Rocco has come through the ranks catching the eye with blistering pace and an eye for goal the trophies have been piling up making the breakthrough odds ever higher.Â
In the Lowland League, against teams such as Caldedonian Braves, Stirling University and BSC Rocco has been working away out of the spotlight.Â
With Celtic 6-0 up against Wiener Viktoria, Rocco got his chance, coming on at half time alongside Ben Summers and Matthew Anderson, players he knew from the B squad.Â
Fifteen minutes from the end Liam Shaw threaded a ball through the Viktoria defence, the teenage sub knew what to do, steadying himself with two touches he sent a confident shot past the keeper to complete the scoring and lay down his marker for the season ahead.  Â
