Everyone in Scottish football knows the threat that Livingston carry from set-pieces.

With limited possession David Martindale’s side need to make the most of every opportunity that they have to launch the ball into their opponents penalty area.

John Lundstram certainly knows the threat they carry, in the fifth minute he watched a simple high ball result in John Souttar get turned inside out with Joel Nouble given the simple task of lobbing Jon McLaughlin to put his side in front.

Later in the first half Livingston had a good opportunity to put a dangerous set-piece into the penalty box. The delivery was good, Ayo Obileye timed his run well but as he prepared to head at goal Lundstram applied a subtle push, enough to take something out of the defender’s header.

Sky Sports chose not to replay the incident from the standard angle. Whether VAR would have picked up on that sort of penalty claim will become clearer by the turn of the year.

Souttar is believed to be getting trauma counselling following yesterday’s match.

Later on in the match Robertson showed that he could spot infringements from a set-piece into the penalty box.

First game of the season and Robertson knows how to beat VAR. Don’t tell me it hasn’t already been discussed by the Lanarkshire boys in black.

VAR ? Always look a gift-horse in the mouth.

Robertson don’t know you have to put in effort to be good at anything. He is absolutely pathetic. Same old useless, incompetence that it was last season. Did these people ever go school?
