Karamoko Dembele was well wished by a huge number of former team-mates as he signed off at Celtic, joining Brest on a four year contract.
Josip Juranovic, Odsonne Edouard, Albian Ajeti, Stephen Welsh, Moi Elyounoussi, Mikey Johnston, Cameron Harper, Adam Montgomery, Armstrong Oko-Flex, Luca Connell, Jonathan Afolabi, Jack Aitchison, Barry Coffey, Vincent Angelini, Bosun Lawal, Ewan Otoo and Brody Paterson were among some of the former team-mates wishing the teenager good luck at his new club.
Incredibly Karamoko was attached to Celtic for 13 years with much of that under incredible scrutiny created by You Tube footage of his incredible skills.
Watching the tiny guy in green and white hoops slalom past opponents before slamming the ball into the net created a global audience with the biggest clubs in Europe wanting to entice him to their Academies.
Youth caps for Scotland and England followed but for a variety of reasons the Academy project was restricted to occasional cameo performances at Celtic.
Now it is onto Brest, the spotlight will be far less but football fans and former team-mates will be hoping that French football gives the teenager the platform to deliver on the promise of those You Tube clips.
