A fuller version of the new look to Celtic Park has emerged today.Â
After seven years featuring a selection of the club’s most influential players the close season saw the giant banners/posters removed from the outside of the Lisbon Lions and Jock Stein Stands.Â
There are plenty of players, moments and incidents to recognise over the last 135 years but one towers above them all- lifting the European Cup in 1967.Â

Along the Celtic Way there are already statues of Jock Stein and Billy McNeill with the Big Cup, now a towering image of the trophy being lifted into the Lisbon sky has been added to the stadium perimeter.Â
The new look doesn’t carry the same energy as the previous look but as a statement about the club it can’t be questioned.Â
In September the Champions League returns to Celtic Park, a repeat of the Lisbon triumph isn’t in any way realistic but in terms of aspiration it is the image that should inspire everyone throughout the club.Â
