Glasgow City Council join The Lying Game at an uncomfortable moment

Glasgow City Council did their bit last night to add to The Lying Game as an inconvenient and uncomfortable 10th anniversary pops up.

Back in the glorious summer of 2012 the football authorities were in panic mode as they came to terms with Her Majesty rejecting the offer of a CVA to save a football club that started in 1873 or perhaps 1872.

Allan McGregor, Kyle Lafferty, Steve Davis and wee Naisy walked away, the SPL issued fixtures for Club 12 with the letters BDO joining HMRC on the scene of the crime.

Waiting in the wings were Brechin City for a Challenge Cup tie while Championship runners up Dundee, who finished 24 points adrift of Ross County, had to make rapid preparations for life in the top flight despite knowing from February that the best they could hope for was second place behind the Dingwall club.
